Dure Privacy Policy
At Dure Technologies, our fundamental philosophy is "customer first." That philosophy is binding on all the decisions that we make to build our software products and solution, including how we gather your personal identification information, store and access it.
We have drafted the privacy policy below, with an objective to be as clear, transparent and straightforward as possible.
Introduction
We are a software company development products and solutions in social sector Dure Technologies is a software company based in Geneva with offices in India. The company develops innovative technology products and solutions primarily in social sector, viz., public health, nutrition, sanitation and education. The technology platforms developed by Dure Technologies are equally suitable for other businesses. We operate in B2B (Business to Business) and B2B2C (Business to Business to Customer) space and hence our customers are the owners of all information captured in our system, including personal information of user of the software.
Personal information of users of system or community members or customers of our customer are decided by our customers as per their business requirement and Dure does not decide the type and nature of personal information to be captured in the system.
All our mobile applications available on Google Play store or Apple App Store are NOT for public use. Individuals, who are part of a social community, NGO or an organization who have been contracted or licensed to use our software, are authorized to use our software.
However, we protect the personal information of all our customers being captured in our software using industry-standard practices.
We may share the personal information based on specific customer requirement or as required by law on advice from customer or post approval from customer. Since we are not authorized to contact you directly, we will only be communicating to our customers when we make any significant changes to this Privacy Policy. However, our privacy policy will be available for you on request and approval from our customers.
Maintaining your trust is our top priority, so we adhere to the following principles to protect your privacy:
- We protect your personal information and will not provide it to third parties: (1) without our customer's consent; (2) when we reasonably believe it is required by law, subpoena or other legal process and that too post our customer's approval;
- We have implemented appropriate security safeguards designed to protect personal information in accordance with industry standards.
This Privacy Policy applies to all our products and solutions. We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if we make material changes to it, we will inform our customers for their review and suggestions if any.
What information we collect
1.1. Data Controllers
Our Privacy Policy applies to any individual who are part of an organization or community authorized to use our software. We collect personal information when you use our software.
If you have any concern about providing information or having such information displayed in the software or otherwise used in any manner permitted in this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement, you should not use the software. If you have already using the software, you can get in touch with the organization or community admin to delete your personal information and remove the app from your mobile device.
We collect your personal information in the following ways:
1.2. Registration
When you use our mobile app, we collect information pertaining to your name, email address, mobile phone number and password. The information may vary depending on customer or community authorized to use our software. However, there is also an option of using the software as an anonymous user depending on the organization or community.
1.3. Profile Information
For some our customers (organization, NGO or community), additional information like Aadhar card or country specific Personal identification number, address and details about disease, treatments availed, etc. are being captured as per business requirement.
1.8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information. we use cookies and similar technologies, including mobile application identifiers, to help us recognize your geo location to provide you near-me services like hospitals, blood bank, etc as advised by our customer. You can control cookies through your browser settings and other tools. By visiting our Services, you consent to the placement of cookies and beacons in your browser.
We do not share your personal information with any third-party without our customer’s knowledge and consent. Note that, as described in Section 2.6, your profile is visible to other Members in your selected community.
How we use your personal information
2.1. Consent to Dure for Processing Information About You
You agree that information you provide on your profile can be seen by others and used by us as described in this Privacy Policy and our User Agreement.
The personal information that you provide to us may reveal or allow others to identify aspects of your life that are not expressly stated on your profile (for example, your name may reveal your gender). By providing personal information to us when you create or update your account and profile, you are expressly and voluntarily accepting the terms and conditions with your organization or community and freely accepting and agreeing to our processing of your personal information in ways set out by this Privacy Policy. Supplying to us any information deemed “sensitive” by applicable law is entirely voluntary on your part and in agreement with your organization or community. You can withdraw or modify your consent to our collection and processing of the information you provide at any time, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy by communicating your organization or community.
2.2. Communications with Dure
We do not communicate with users of the system except with those who are nominated by our customers (organization or community)
2.3. Sharing Information with Dure Affiliates
We do not share your information across our different Services, among companies in the Dure family.
2.4. Sharing Information with Third Parties
We do not provide any of your information (like your email address, mobile number, etc) to third parties without your organization or community’s consent, unless required by law.
2.5. Compliance with Legal Process and Other Disclosures
We may disclose your personal information if compelled by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if necessary. However, disclosure will not be made without notification and/or approval of your organization or community.
2.6. Service Providers
We may employ third parties to help us with the Services
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services (e.g. maintenance, analysis, audit, marketing and development). These third parties have limited access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated to Dure not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
2.7 Data storage and Processing Outside Your Country
We may store and process your information outside the country where you live.
We may transfer your information and process it outside your country of residence, wherever, its affiliates and service providers operate
Your Choices & Obligations
3.1. Rights to Access, Correct, or Delete Your Information, and Closing Your Account
You have the right to access your information using the apps and correct. For closing your account, you will have to get in touch with your organization or community who can action the request at their end or advice Dure to action the same.
3.2. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed by the organization or community you belong to.

4.1. Security
We take privacy and security seriously and have enabled HTTPS access to our site, in addition to existing SSL access over mobile devices. Also, please know that the Internet is not a secure environment, so be careful and select strong passwords. Passwords are encrypted.
We have implemented security safeguards designed to protect the personal information that you provide in accordance with industry standards. Access to your data on our Services is password-protected, and data such as credit card (if captured) information is protected by SSL encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and the Services. We also offer secure https access to the respective websites. To protect any data you store on our servers, we also regularly monitor our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks, and we use a tier-one secured-access data center. However, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. Please note that emails, instant messaging, and similar means of communication with other Members are not encrypted, and we strongly advise you not to communicate any confidential information through these means.
